I am appalled. Last week I was sent an ARC for the new novel The Auction Deal by Sam Taylor Mullens, I read and rated it. Earlier this week I received an email from Author Rachel Nunes stating she had wrote the same book in 1998, I had to investigate. Nunes' book is offered on Amazon for free so I dove right in. She was correct!
It seems Sam Taylor Mullens copied and pasted almost word word from A Bid for Love. Sam Taylor Mullens has removed the book from shelves, but I will be forever weary of anything she writes in the future.

The Auction Deal by Sam Taylor Mullens
⭐⭐
I received my ARC yesterday in exchange for an honest review.

At first I was very hopeful that this would be a good read, I mean two people meant to bid on the same Buddha statue and sparks fly?
I was in. But really sparks didn't fly, and then there are notes under doors, and people suspecting everyone. A twist in the end that made zero, real world sense.
I was leaning towards 3 stars, then the hero proposed to the heroine in the end. After like a week. I didn't get butterflies, I wasn't anticipating, I was actually dreading turning the page.
I think this author has great potential, though. Had this book been twice as long, I can almost guarantee I would had felt what I was missing.
Awesome quotes heading each chapter, and I did learn a bit about Buddha. I just wish the author would have added more passion, and made the suspense more realistic.
I would try another novel by Sam Taylor Mullens if it's longer. This felt short and rushed like a serial.
